Get your video viewed by colleges for FREE …

FREE SCHOOLS!: Did you know you can send your video and information to schools at NO ADDITIONAL COST as long as you refer a friend to Go Big and they both sign-up at Go Big Recruiting and place an order.  The best part about it is that it is a win-win for everyone involved.

As soon as you refer a friend via the “tell a friend” box located in the bottom right of your homepage after you sign into your account, those friends will receive a coupon code that is good for 3 FREE SCHOOLS if they go to place an order.  Then, as soon as they fill out their profile, upload their video, and choose some schools, you will receive your own coupon code that is also good for 3 FREE SCHOOLS. That is three more opportunities for you to get noticed and possibly recruited by a great college or university!

Go Big’s Athlete of the Week!

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

Ragan Robichaux is a great example of exactly what you should do for all Go Big users.

First, he went out in his season opener against Channelview High School and dominated, registering two sacks to go along with a bunch of tackles, pressures, and pass break-ups.

Then he uploaded his entire game tape to his Go Big Recruiting account.

Later that day, he logged into his Go Big account, clicked the SCHOOLS tab, and chose over 30 schools to submit that game film to.

Already, several schools, including Northwestern University, have reviewed his game film and Ragan has been alerted to that fact via both an email as well as a check mark on his account.

That is exactly how fast it can happen at Go Big Recruiting.

It is NEVER too early …

Monday, August 30th, 2010

but it can definitely be too late at some point.  That is what you should keep in mind when deciding which game and highlights to upload to your profile at Go Big Recruiting and then submit it to EVERY school in which you are still interested.

That means as soon as you have a game that you played well in or are happy with, make sure you either upload it yourself or send it to the Go Big office and we will post it to your profile immediately.  As soon as it is up, you can choose which schools you want to have view it and receive both an email and a check mark on your account as soon as they have done so.

The earlier you send it out and the college coaches evaluate it, the sooner you will be able to get a feel for how they feel about you and where you stand with them.  This will provide clarity for you as to where you might end up and will allow you to concentrate on those schools that are truly interested in you as a student-athlete.

Game Time!

Friday, August 27th, 2010

High school football season begins today in many states across the country and for all of the Go Big users that play football, the time is now.

Sure, it is important that you play at a high level, be a team leader, and have some great footage that you can send to college coaches using Go Big.

It is equally important that you take the time to enjoy every single second of the ride and the experience.  The fans in the stands.  The band.  The cheerleaders.  High school football is an amazing experience and will likely be more enjoyable than playing at the next level.  College football can be great as well, but there is simply nothing quite like high school football and the experience of playing on Friday Nights.

Seize the day!

Check Mark Issue Resolved

Sunday, August 22nd, 2010

Several of you brought it to our attention this week that there was an issue with the check marks on your account that are so valuable to you because they keep track of which schools have and have not reviewed your profile information and video.

We discovered that the issue was the result of the recent cycle change from one week ago and have since fixed the problem.  You will now see the checkmarks in your account next to the schools that have in fact reviewed your profile.  There are the same schools from whom you should have gotten emails from Go Big Recruiting letting you know that they have reviewed your profile.

Thanks for your patience and we are happy that this has been resolved because the peace of mind that the emails and checkmarks create for you and your family is one of our big selling points and one of the big reasons why we think Go Big is the best way to submit your videos to colleges.  If you didn’t use Go Big, how else would you know that they have not only received but reviewed it as well? You wouldn’t.

Technique Matters!

Thursday, August 19th, 2010

Most young athletes think that size, speed, and strength are the most important factors for success in their sport.  While those things are all very important, you can’t overstate the importance of the fundamentals.

At the highest level, in the pros, technique is usually the number one thing that differentiates good players from great ones.  A simple attention to detail and keen understanding of the game can often be the difference between making the play or not.

That means as you go through fall practice it is imperative that you work on the unique skills necessary at your position, even if it means staying longer after practice in order to get a little of extra work in.  College coaches want physical specimens, sure, but they also want skilled technicians as well because that will serve those prospects well at the next level.

The New Recruiting Cycle is Here!!!

Sunday, August 15th, 2010

August 15th marked the date of the new recruiting cycle for the 2010-11 school year for Go Big Recruiting.

What is a “cycle”?

The cycle is the way in which Go Big Recruiting differentiates between different seasons for recruiting film per the request of a number of college coaches.  It allows them to identify and separate the previous season’s footage from the current season.

What is the process like?

Go Big’s entire process is modeled off of the sending of DVDs through the mail, only our process is done entirely online.  So just like you would have to burn off DVDs from last season and send them out to colleges and then eventually do the same thing again for the upcoming season, Go Big works the same way.

How does it work?

The cycle really only comes into play for prospects that want to send their 2010-11 school year video to some of the same schools to which they already sent their 2009-10 video.  Just like sending out the new season’s DVD to their respective offices through the mail, prospects must attach the new video to their profile and place an order to those same schools for the new season.

This will ensure that the college coaches get an email notifying them that they have received NEW film from you from the 2010-11 school year.  Your name will then appear at the top of their Go Big inbox in bold, indicating new film has arrived, and when they click on your name to check out your profile and review your new video, you will once again get the email letting you know that your film and profile have been reviewed by a coach at that school.

All of the college coaches that you sent last season’s video and profile to will still have access to your previous video and information but they will NOT be able to view your footage from this upcoming season unless you order them again.  This obviously does not apply to any new schools that you have never previously ordered.

 Questions?

This process was created based upon the information that we received from the college coaches that we speak with on a daily basis.  If you have any questions or concerns, please email us at contact@gobigrecruiting.com.  We are here to serve you and improve the process of highlight/game film submission for everyone involved!

Marshall is Mentioning!

Thursday, July 29th, 2010

The Marshall Thundering Herd, a proud Division I school in West Virginia where NFL stars like Randy Moss, Chad Pennington, Byron Leftwich, and Troy Brown all played collegiately, is one of the latest programs to specifically mention Go Big Recruiting as an option for highlight/game film submission to all of their recruits.

The Thundering Herd competes in Conference USA and starts the season this upcoming year by playing both Ohio State and West Virginia!

Make sure you submit your video and information online to Marshall using Go Big if you would like them to evaluate whether or not you could possibly play football for their program.
