High school athletes all over the country are lifting weights…

High school athletes all over the country are lifting weights, doing
agilities, running sprints, and playing games in order to get ready for the
upcoming school year. I have always believed that the summer is when you
really separate yourself from the competition. There becomes a lot more
free time in the summer and thus a lot more choices. You have to decide
whether it is more important to you to get another workout in or go to the
pool or on vacation. Nothing comes easily and every individual has to
decide how important it is to them to become the best athlete they can be.
At the end of the day it is all about self-motivation; how bad do YOU want
it?

Summer Camps

School is over and summer is here and that means one thing for the serious
high school athlete: SUMMER CAMPS. Summer camps, especially those held at a
university, can be extremely valuable for any high school student-athlete.
Not only do you get to learn new techniques and hone your skills with the
help of some higher level coaches, you also have the ability to impress the
college coaching staff enough that you may put yourself on their recruiting
radar. If you have an idea of the schools that you would like to attend and
you want to make sure they get a good look at you, I would certainly
recommend attending their summer camp. It amounts to a bona fide tryout in
which the coaches can check you out and see what they think. No matter what
the result may be, at least you will know that you had an opportunity to
showcase your ability for them.
