Keeping it Rolling

Tuesday, April 28th, 2009

It is not even 10:30 am EST and already well over 100 coaches from schools like Michigan, Western Kentucky, Baylor, Princeton, Nebraska, Columbia, Toledo, Harvard, Brown, Johns Hopkins and many many more have signed in to their accounts in order to view prospects and send out “Interest” emails in order to request film.  No other site can claim to have that many coaches personally signed up and on the site on a daily basis.

The staff here at Go Big spends all day talking with college coaches to improve our service for them and make sure that they are reviewing the film that you have sent them.  Rest assured that we will not rest until your film has been viewed and if you haven’t made an order as of yet, what are you waiting for?

Here They Come

Tuesday, April 21st, 2009

College Coaches are now allowed to hit the road and search for prospects all over the country from now until the end of May.  Most of the coaches tell us that they are going to be on the hunt for two weeks before taking a break and potentially going out for another week looking for the top talent in the Class of 2010 and even the Class of 2011 if you can believe that.

Make sure you look as physically impressive as possible and wear whatever shoes and clothes you can to make sure you put your best foot forward.  Coaches will often want to look at you as you walk down the hallway or are in class to see if you pass the “look test”.  The “look test” is something coaches do in order to gauge whether or not you have the physical characteristics to play college football for their program.

Keep that in mind every day until the end of May and make sure you submit your film to them online using Go Big so that they make sure to stop by your school during this spring evaluation period.

You Must “Choose Schools”

Saturday, April 11th, 2009

College coaches are NOT able to view your videos or complete profile unless you specifically choose schools and place an order to submit your game film to them online via Go Big Recruiting.

If you receive an email that a school is “interested in reviewing your game film and profile” that means they consider you to be a potential prospect based upon your basic (ht, wt, 40, pos, GPA, SAT) information.  It is then your responsibility to log into your account at Go Big Recruiting and submit your film to them by placing an order.

Otherwise they will have no access to your film and complete profile and will assume that you are not interested.

How ’bout Michigan?

Thursday, April 9th, 2009

The Michigan Wolverines, one of the most storied football programs in the United States, are the latest school to specifically mention Go Big Recruiting as an option for submitting game film to them online as they recently sent a letter out to high school coaches and prospects across the country.

This is further proof that the Go Big fever is catching on and it is a solution that makes sense for each and every party involved from the player to the high school coach to the parent to the college coach.

If you haven’t told your high school coach, teammates, or opponents from other schools about Go Big yet, what are you waiting for?

Hawaii Jumps on Board!

Monday, April 6th, 2009

The University of Hawaii, playing in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) of Division I-A, is the latest school to expressly mention Go Big Recruiting.com in their correspondence with prospects as an alternative to sending DVDs through the mail.

Late last week, the Warriors sent out an email to prospects nationwide letting them know that they could submit their game film online using Go Big.  They are just one of over 40 schools that have let their prospects know that Go Big is an option for game film submission.

Remember, just because a school hasn’t specifically mentioned Go Big in a mailer to you doesn’t mean they don’t accept game film sent via Go Big.  The staff at Go Big has established personal contacts at 98% of the schools in the United States that play football and will immediately get a contact at a school if you choose one of the other 2% that have not yet found out about the power of going big with Go Big.

Video Processor Upgrade

Friday, April 3rd, 2009

If you are attempting to upload a video and it is taking longer than normal that is most likely being caused by the fact that we are currently making an upgrade to our video processor.

Your video should upload correctly during this process it just might take more time. If it does not for some reason, please email us at contact@gobigrecruiting.com and we will help you.

Thank you for your patience as we continue to improve the best online game film submission service in the country.
