Highlight Films Available!

Sunday, July 26th, 2009

You asked for it.  You got it.  Go Big Recruiting has now officially launched a highlight video service in order to better serve our customers and help them in the recruiting process.

Simply click on the “Need a Highlight Film?” link on the homepage and see the options that are available.  Once you send your original game film to Go Big with your best plays clearly marked, we will put together a high-end highlight film and upload it directly to your Go Big account so that you can send it out online to every school you are interested in.

If you are interested in having Go Big put together your highlight film as you start to prepare for this upcoming season, call or email Dave at 610-334-7913 or dave@gobigrecruiting.com

One Month ’til New Recruiting Cycle

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

August 15th will mark the date of the new recruiting cycle for the 2009 season for Go Big Recruiting.

What is a “cycle”?

The cycle is the way in which Go Big Recruiting differentiates between different seasons for recruiting film per the request of a number of college coaches.  It allows them to identify and separate the previous season’s footage from the current season.

How does it work?

Go Big’s entire process is modeled off of the sending of DVDs through the mail, only our process is done entirely online.  So just like you would have to burn off DVDs from the 2008 season and send them out to colleges and then eventually do the same thing again for the upcoming 2009 season, Go Big works the same way.

How does it work?

The cycle really only comes into play for prospects that want to send their 2009 video to some of the same schools to which they already sent their 2008 video.  Just like sending out the new season’s DVD to their respective football offices through the mail, prospects must attach the new video to their profile and place an order to those same schools for the new season.

This will ensure that the college coaches get an email notifying them that they have received new film from the 2009 season.  Your name will then appear at the top of their inbox in bold, indicating new film has arrived, and when they click on your name to check out your profile and review your 2009 video, you will once again get the email letting you know that your film and profile have been reviewed.

All of the college coaches that you sent your 2008 film and profile to will still have access to your previous video and information but they will NOT be able to view your 2009 footage unless you order them again.  This does not apply to any new schools that you have never previously ordered obviously.

 Questions?

This process was created based upon the information that we received from the college coaches that we speak with on a daily basis.  If you have any questions or concerns, please email us at contact@gobigrecruiting.com.  We are here to serve you and improve the process of highlight/game film submission for everyone involved!

“Don’t Be the Guy”

Friday, July 3rd, 2009

That is the message that Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin recently gave to every single drafted NFL rookie at the recent NFL Rookie Symposium.  Tomlin said that every player in that room knows right from wrong and they know enough to make sure they are not the “guy”.  The guy that does something wrong and hurts his team, his family, or himself.

The same can be said for all of you as we head into the holiday weekend.  You have worked too hard to blow it now by getting into trouble.  Two-a-days will be here before you know it which means Friday nights won’t be too far away.  Enjoy the rest of the summer but keep your eye on the prize because you have individual and team goals that need to be accomplished!
