How to get a Softball Scholarship

Are you asking yourself any of the the following questions?:

  • I’m a freshman, is it too early for me to think about an athletic scholarship for softball?
  • I’m a senior, is it too late for me to get a softball scholarship?
  • What do I need to do to get a scholarship to play college softball?
  • How does softball recruiting work?
  • When do softball scouts evaluate players like me?
  • How do softball recruiting services work?
  • Does softball have full scholarships?

If you’re asking yourself any of these questions or have any thought of playing college softball, one of the most important things you can do to help yourself is to evaluate where you are personally in the recruiting timeline. Your age dictates your action: Are you a freshman, sophomore, junior, senior or transfer candidate? What time of year is it? What level have you played on? How much travel experience do you have? Do you have a skill video? Have you been recruited yet? To what degree?
