Will attending big AAU or other tournaments help me get a basketball scholarship?

Tournaments are a good tool as part of an overall basketball recruiting strategy, but basketball scouts and coaches go to these events to evaluate athletes they already know about, not to discover them. Don’t expect to get recruited solely by showing up at these events - ensuring that you get viewership-enable video to college basketball coaches ahead of time should be your first recruiting priority. That way when you are at the tournament they know who you are, can find out which courts you’re playing on, what time your games are, your jersey #, etc. To just go to a tournament with hundreds or even over a thousand high school basketball players and expect to get a college scholarship would be like a needle hoping to be found in a haystack.

When it comes to recruiting, Go Big or go home!
